Premise
A statement or proposition that forms the basis of an argument or from which a conclusion is drawn.
In formal logic, a premise is one of the propositions in a deductive argument. The conclusion of the argument follows (or is claimed to follow) from the premises. In Debby, a Premise node represents the foundational claim being debated — the assertion that one or more worldviews must defend or refute.
**Example:** In the TAG debate, the premise 'Strict Materialism' asserts that only physical matter exists. Both sides must engage with this claim.
