Axiom
A self-evident truth that requires no further justification and serves as the foundational bedrock of an argument chain.
In Debby's framework, an Axiom is the ideal terminus of any argument chain. When a worldview can trace its claims back to genuinely self-evident foundations, it reaches an axiomatic bedrock. This is scored as the strongest possible outcome in the Trilemma evaluation.
**Key distinction:** An axiom is not simply an unproven assertion (that would be vicious circularity). It is a proposition whose truth is self-evident — denying it leads to self-contradiction.
